Sometime after midnight, I asked Sam Presti a question. In his trade that trumped all other news from the NBA Draft, how did the Thunder general manager get the Orlando Magic to throw in the 11th pick in the draft?
The Serge Ibaka-for-Victor Oladipo deal was interesting and frankly a great one-for-one deal. Each team dealt a two-way player – good on offense, really good on defense – for another two-way player. The Thunder was shy on the perimeter, the Magic needed interior help, so a match was made.
Oladipo is younger (turned 24 May 1; Serge will be 27 when training camp opens).
