In 1943, Kenny Sailors changed the game of basketball and quickly grew to be a fan-favorite when he introduced his never-before-seen "leaping one-hander" to the masses while leading his Wyoming Cowboys to the Collegiate National Championship in Madison Square Garden.
But after playing on several losing teams in an unstable, emerging league now known as the NBA, Sailors disappeared into the Alaskan wilderness only to be forgotten by the sport he helped pioneer.
Now, nearly 60 years later, the film "Jump Shot" is paying tribute to Sailors' literal game-changing innovation.
Featuring Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki and a host of other basketball and sport legends, the sports documentary is playing at 5:30 p.
