Kendrick Perkins has signed with the New Orleans Pelicans, which is good for Perk. Good team. Good role, as a mentor to Anthony Davis while serving as a deep reserve on a team with Davis, Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca.
Perkins can't play like he once did. His body is worn out. It's got to be frustrating for a player whose value always was being in the right place at the right time but now can't get there, even if he knows exactly when and where to be.
But Gran Torino is still good to have around.
