Could Former OKC Forward Perry Jones Be Done in Boston?

Just a few weeks ago, the Oklahoma City Thunder sent 2012 draft pick Perry Jones III (along with a future 2nd-round selection) to the Boston Celtics. The move was mostly to clear both salary cap and roster space, as OKC will reportedly save nearly $7 million by trading Jones away and, at the time, had 17 players under contract.

Jones’ up-and-down career in Oklahoma City was mostly about unfulfilled potential. He could never crack the lineup to earn substantial playing time, showed brief flashes of promise and would then be confined to the end of the bench, rarely playing for long stretches.
