DALLAS – Derek Harper spent 16 seasons in the NBA, playing for teams like the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic, but he spent the majority of his career — 12 seasons — with the Dallas Mavericks, who drafted him 11th overall in 1983.
Now the 54-year-old is a television analyst for Mavericks games. He sat down with The Oklahoman before Game 4 on Saturday:
