Thunder center Steven Adams was the last player on the floor, but he wasn’t alone. Standing at the free throw line practicing his shooting form, Adams had a simulation of what his view looks like during games. Six assistant coaches stood around the lane, watching intently as Adams finished out his work for the day.
That personal attention and focus on the small details is what defines the Thunder organization, along with the idea that the coaching staff will be alongside players every step of the way. As the Thunder utilizes the week in between its final preseason game and first contest of the regular season, it will be working from both a player development and team-wide improvement approach.
