Dennis Schroder has been an excellent addition to the Thunder roster. Don’t be alarmed or outraged, but shades of James Harden.
As a rookie in 2009-10, Harden averaged 9.9 points a game and shot 37.5 percent from 3-point range. He showed signs of being an elite NBA player, and that came to fruition the next two seasons.
Harden averaged 12.2 points a game in 2010-11, then really blossomed in 2011-12, averaging 16.8 points a game, shooting 49.1 percent from the field, 39 percent from 3-point range and averaging 3.7 assists.
Then you know what happened – the trade that will live in infamy, though never forget the draft pick that became Steven Adams was included in the deal.
