The Northwest Division was a part of two deals in the last couple weeks before the NBA trade deadline. The Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder made moves to solidify their rosters; the Jazz and Timberwolves stayed put.
Utah missed out on a great opportunity to package a couple of their young prospects for another starter. The Jazz are going to struggle resigning everyone (Gordon Hayward, George Hill, Joe Ingles and Shelvin Mack are all free agents this offseason) but packaging Trey Lyles, Dante Exum and/or Alec Burks could have helped as they prepared to offer new contracts.
