SAN ANTONIO – Billy Donovan had tough choices and few options.
It was almost inevitable that his short-handed Thunder – playing without Enes Kanter and Alex Abrines – were going to have trouble scoring off the bench on Tuesday against the Spurs, and it did in a 108-94 loss.
(Kanter is out for an extended period with a fractured bone in his right forearm. Abrines had back spasms Tuesday and went through warmups before the Thunder ruled him out, and his status for Wednesday's home game against Chicago was unclear.)
But even the starters got of to a sluggish offensive start.
