Wimbledon officials Wednesday canceled the world’s most famous tennis tournament. The London championships were scheduled for late June, early July. Seems like a troublesome sign for those interested in the resumption of the NBA.
A tennis tournament with 256 individuals (128 men, 128 women), all in one location over a two-week span, would appear to be a more manageable event than the re-start of a professional basketball league involving 30 franchise, 450 players, 28 cities and 29 arenas, spread coast to coast.
But who knows? The NBA would like to salvage some kind of season, so it can wait.
