Sam Presti takes new additions to the Thunder organization – players, front office, basketball operations – to the Oklahoma City National Memorial. He wants his people to get a feel for what the city went through when the Murrah Building was bombed on April 19, 1995.
But Presti’s not the only one who feels that way. Some of the Women’s College World Series teams tour the memorial, too. Baylor coach Glenn Moore took his Bears through on Friday morning, an off day for Baylor, and talked the other day about the importance of such excursions.
“I’m old enough to remember that vividly,” Moore said of the bombing.
