Anthony looks sharp, makes history

Carmelo Anthony's 3-point shot misfired, and the rebound ricocheted to Russell Westbrook.

Not content to stand still behind the line, Anthony cut to the rim. He didn't have to — Westbrook buried a jump shot for a second-chance basket — but it was notable that Anthony was active.

Maybe it was the rest the Thunder gave the veteran forward in last Saturday's loss to Portland. Maybe Anthony was fired up for a nationally televised showdown with the Rockets at Chesapeake Energy Arena, a 122-112 Oklahoma City loss.

Whatever the case, he looked sharp early on Tuesday, shooting well and making a little history.
