The trade that ends Carmelo Anthony’s Thunder career — and begins Dennis Schroder’s — is official.
The Thunder announced the move on Wednesday morning, confirming that it had dealt Anthony and a protected 2022 first-round draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Schroder as part of a three-team trade that also will bring Philadelphia wing Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to OKC.
The trade was agreed to and first reported last Thursday. The 76ers had to complete a free-agent signing with cap space before adding money in the deal, which sends forward Mike Muscala from Atlanta to Philadelphia.
