The opening line to Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities is the perfect way to describe watching Andre Roberson play basketball. Entering his fifth NBA season, Roberson is arguably the NBA’s biggest conundrum. His defense, both on and off the ball, is incredible. He’ll lock up the opposing teams best defender, throw away the key and burn the garbage can the key was thrown away in.
But on offense, his jump shot makes you forget about everything he does defensively. This struggle reached its peak during last years playoffs. Roberson limited James Harden as much as humanly possible.
