The idea was to put the pass where no Thunder player could reach it. The target for Clippers guard Lou Williams was 7-foot-3 Boban Marjanovic, who was making his way toward the restricted area. But in came 6-foot-6 Alex Abrines.
Abrines jumped and tipped the ball away from Marjanovic, stumbling as he came down, and the Thunder gained possession. That was Abrines’s fourth steal of the night. The shooting guard led OKC in steals, as a part of a strong defensive performance in the Thunder’s 128-110 win over the Clippers Tuesday night.
