Abrines needs few shots to make impact for OKC

The Thunder opened preseason with a 142-137 overtime loss to Real Madrid on Monday. Here are five observations from the thrilling game at the Barclaycard Center in Madrid.

1. OLADIPO CAN LEAD

The opening preseason game was an exercise in cause and effect. Some of the cause was intentional, like the plan to play Russell Westbrook only two quarters. The effect was Victor Oladipo conducting the offense.

While Oladipo struggled from 3-point range (1-of-7), he was 13-of-17 on 2-point shots. Oladipo continually exploited whoever attempted to guard him on the perimeter, using baseline drives as his primary weapon.
