The Oklahoma City Thunder and Brooklyn Nets are nearing a deal that would send point guard Reggie Jackson to Brooklyn and center Brook Lopez to OKC, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Both sides are trying to figure out the ancillary pieces to make the deal work, but it is expected to be completed by the deadline.
Jackson wants to opportunity to start somewhere, and recently turned down a four-year, $48 million extension from the Thunder. He will be backing up Deron Williams in Brooklyn, but the Nets are looking to rid themselves of the former All-Star and view Jackson as their point guard of the future.
Lopez would immediately become Oklahoma City's starting center and give their frontline a major boost. The deal would leave them with a hole at backup point guard, and have been in conversations with the Miami Heat about acquiring Norris Cole after this deal goes through.
