Oklahoma City Thunder PG Russell Westbrook had successful surgery on his broken hand Saturday, according to a release from the team.
Westbrook broke the second metacarpal in his right hand during Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and will be evaluated again in four weeks. Westbrook scored 38 points in the Thunder's opening game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
His injury leaves Oklahoma City with just eight healthy players on their roster. Power forward Serge Ibaka will be relied on to carry the team with superstar Kevin Durant's broken foot keeping him out of the lineup until mid-December.
