Women's rowing | Ohio State in good shape heading into final day of nationals

Ohio State kept itself in contention for a third consecutive national title on Saturday, qualifying all three of its crews for today’s Grand Finals at the Division I rowing championships in Gold River, Calif.

The Buckeyes, ranked third in the country, joined Washington as the only two programs to qualify all three crews to the final round at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center.

The First Varsity Eight maintained its undefeated record (44-0) in the second A/B semifinal, finishing in 6 minutes, 29.33 seconds, ahead of second-place Stanford (6:33.28). The Buckeyes’ time was the second-fastest of the day, behind California’s 6:27.
