Michigan State booted Ohio State from the semifinals Big Ten tournament on Saturday in bruising fashion.
The third-seeded Spartans drilled the second-seeded Buckeyes 82-63 and earned a championship berth at 7 p.m. Sunday against top-seeded Maryland in Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Ohio State had the services of second-leading scorer Ameryst Alston for 10 minutes of the first half because a right-wrist injury she suffered during Friday’s night’s win over Rutgers. She couldn’t use her right hand and left with no points.
