Four years later than originally planned, free public WiFi installation began in The Horseshoe on Tuesday afternoon, according to a Tweet from Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith.
For those of you following along, this has been quite a long road.
Ohio State signed a contract with Verizon Wireless back in 2012 that they apparently believed would bring WiFi to Ohio Stadium by the team's season opener in 2015. When that obviously didn't happen, Ohio State sued Verizon Wireless and presumably did battle in court – but that still didn't bring WiFi to the 'Shoe.
