COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three of the four teams in the College Football Playoff have a loss - just like last season.
This year, those losses came to teams that finished 9-3 (Ole Miss, which beat Alabama), 5-7 (Texas, which beat Oklahoma) and 5-7 (Nebraska, which beat Michigan State).
The one-time albatross, as ESPN host Rece Davis called Ohio State's loss to Virginia Tech for most of last season, is no more. It choked on a fish.
The Buckeyes lost at home to the Hokies last season, watched those Hokies finish 6-6 in the regular season, and got in.
