Last season when Michael Thomas proved he was a legitimate threat on the outside it gave Devin Smith even more opportunities to make big plays, and he took advantage of them. Smith was “Batman” and Thomas had become “Robin”.
This season Thomas has become one of the premier wide receivers in college football. However, without another receiver playing at a consistently high level, defenses can key on him and limit what he can do.
