But during this bye week, Andy and I have been busy scratching our heads at the various goings-on in college football, particularly when if comes to coaching hires. Several high profile jobs have opened up in recent weeks, and that leads us to wondering: how had Ohio State been able to do so damn well when it comes to coaching hires?
The answer, as per usual, is Gene Smith, but in a larger sense it's talent evaluation. Which is interesting, because it's the same element that makes individual teams successful from a recruiting standpoint.
