The Buckeyes were ranked number one in the first College Football Playoff rankings (at least for one week, when the winner of Alabama-LSU takes it over) , while Vegas recently gave Ohio State the best odds of winning the national championship.
Those two data points capture the rough consensus that has emerged that the Buckeyes have looked like the most complete team so far, even if there has been some debate about the top teams the Buckeyes have faced relative to say, LSU.
While we’re probably all feeling good about the state of the Buckeyes right now, it’s useful to take a hard look at where their weaknesses are, especially with Penn State and Michigan still looming.
