Lauded as one of the state's best potential prospects on the gridiron, 6-foot-8, 270-pound Westerville South power forward Kaleb Wesson has committed to play basketball at Ohio State. He was offered by the Buckeyes and head coach Thad Matta in mid-June and wasted no time deciding that his future is in scarlet and gray.

A four-star prospect via ESPN, Wesson chose the Buckeyes over scholarship offers from Xavier and Iowa. His father, Keith Wesson, played center for Ohio State in the 1980s.
Wesson is the first Ohio State commitment in the class of 2017 and Eleven Warriors will have more on his verbal commitment as it becomes available.
