Perhaps the highlight of the day, the Ohio State alumni band tabbed a legend to dot the i during Saturday afternoon's performance of Script Ohio, selecting 100-year-old alum and World War II veteran Anthony Violi to do the honors.
"I think it's the greatest thing in the world that they selected me to dot the i," Violi said in a video from Ohio State. "I don't want to brag about it, but I feel honored that I get to do it."
Violi played trumpet in the Ohio State Marching Band from 1937 to 1942, joining one year after their first-ever performance of Script Ohio.
