If Joey Sindelar was the type to obsess over a missed opportunity or two, the Ohio State product could be facing a few tough nights after his final two rounds at the U.S. Senior Open.
At Scioto Country Club, Sindelar finished at 1-over-par 281, tied for sixth and four strokes behind champion Gene Sauers. But in rounds three and four, Sindelar double bogeyed No. 13.
“A lot of people will say, ‘Well, jeepers, you doubled 13, but then you birdied four of the last five. Just think if you didn’t double,’ ” he said, offering hypothetical. “I’m a big believer that you birdied four of the last five because you did double it.
