Urban Meyer will retire as Ohio State’s coach following the team’s Rose Bowl game on January 1, and offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over, as expected. Meyer will meet with the media on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.
Despite Meyer saying that he intends on coaching in 2019, things seemed more up in the air than that throughout the last few games of the season. The emotions coming off the Michigan win had some speculating it was because he was preparing to say goodbye.
In his seven years as Ohio State’s head football coach, Meyer went 82-9 and was undefeated against that team up North.
