Given his druthers, Urban Meyer probably would prefer that his Ohio State football team didn’t have today off. After a fits-and-starts six-week run to open the 2015 season, the Buckeyes have been a cohesive unit the past two weeks in throttling Penn State and Rutgers in prime-time games.
Now comes OSU’s only off week of the season. Will it be a time to heal sore bodies and rest minds made weary by the pressures of playing as the No. 1 team? Or will the brief respite dull the Buckeyes’ suddenly found sharp edge?
Regardless, it seemed the perfect time for The Dispatch’s Ohio State beat writers, Tim May and Bill Rabinowitz, to join sports editor Ray Stein in taking stock of the college football season to date.
