The regular season is over and it's time for the Ohio State Buckeyes to prepare for the postseason. The team will meat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 30th. Just short of making the College Football Playoffs, this will be the last game in scarlet and gray for the seniors and younger players declaring for the draft -- which is a lot of them.
These two teams last met in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl, when the Buckeyes had a 34-20 performance over the Irish. This matchup was what pushed quarterback Troy Smith into the lead for the Heisman trophy, having completed 19 of 28 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns.
