Earlier this month, Ohio State head basketball coach Thad Matta received his first verbal committment for the 2016 class when Derek Funderburk did so on April 1. Today, Matta got his second verbal when Micah Potter pledge his allegiance to Buckeye Nation via his Twitter Account earlier today.
Ironically and surprisingly, both are big men from the state of Ohio.
Potter, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound center from Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio, is a three-star prospect by both 247Sports and ESPN. He had offers from a dozen different schools including high-profile ones like Clemson, Iowa, North Carolina State and West Virginia.
