Ray: I am not opposed to beer sales in the Horseshoe (Todd Jones article, last Saturday). However, I am surprised that a public university would sell only to the upper-class fans in the elite seats. The rest of us may not donate millions to the school, but a portion of our taxes go to support the university.
I would not care if this were a private school, which can do whatever it wants. Even if you are not seated in first class in an airplane, you can at least buy a brew in coach.
This letter probably will not get me appointed to the OSU Board of Trustees, but I feel someone has to speak out for the 96 percent of loyal fans that will be dry in the stadium on game day.
