Ray: I don’t know if you can have influence on what ESPN shows, but the attempt at “new” video coverage for Tuesday’s OSU-Michigan basketball game was a total failure for those who watched on TV.
The old-movie, one-camera-on-the-sideline gave no depth perception like the human eye has. Many views were blocked by the big rear end of a referee and no attempt was made to move around him like a human viewer would.
The response we got from our complaint to ESPN was that they were experimenting with another way to give fans more enjoyment and appreciation of Big Ten basketball.
