Ohio State reinstated sophomore cornerback Damon Webb on Monday, Urban Meyer said during Tuesday's Big Ten teleconference. Webb is set to return to the lineup for the Buckeyes Saturday night against Minnesota.
"Cam Burrows and Erick Smith are down for the year, and Damon is a guy that was playing well for us and that we have a lot of trust in," Meyer said. "That's a big plus, as well as having him available for special teams.
Ohio State announced Webb was suspended mere hours before a 20-13 home victory against Northern Illinois Sept. 19 for what was then described as a violation of an athletics department policy.
