Sam Hubbard's dealt food insecurity a crushing blow.
Amidst an unprecedented global crisis, Hubbard stepped up to help his home town, and he delivered well beyond his expectations.
With a sudden surge in unemployment, the Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank gave out the same amount of food last month that it would typically provide in six months. Hubbard set out to help meet the surge in demand, announcing a plan to raise money for the food bank, and personally match the first $9,400 in donations.
Just a few weeks later, that campaign has raised $86,610 for the food bank, which will provide more than 250,000 meals to those in need.
