About 10 or 12 years ago I wrote an article for this very website, complaining about a lack of bowl games in the northern latitudes of the United States. Made a whole-ass MS Paint map, too, with the Mason-Dixon line serving as a general rule of thumb for where good ol' southern teams refuse to play football after mid-October. And then I waited, and waited, and waited. And my patience paid off.
Thanks to the new and improved College Football Playoff, southern teams are now being forced to trudge up North and play in the ass end of December.
