The Indians announced Mark Budzinski as the manager of the RubberDucks for the 2017 season on Tuesday.
It’s a promotion from the same position he held with Lynchburg at the high Class A level the last two seasons where he took the Hillcats to the playoffs both years with a runner-up finish in 2016.
He replaces David Wallace, who won the Eastern League last season and finished 230-206 in three seasons with the Ducks.
The move is a homecoming of sorts for Budzinski, 43, who played 11 years in professional baseball with seven coming in the Indians organization.
