Sure, Hawaii has a lot going for it. Island breezes. Slim chance of tornados. But what Ohio has that the 50th state lacks is a college football national championship. And if Hawaii coach Norm Chow doesn’t win one this year, well, research what happened to Captain Cook out there.
Just sayin’.
Chow is beginning his fourth season with the Rainbow Warriors, which is a magic number of sorts when it comes to coaches winning national titles. Since 2000, only one title-winning coach took longer than four years to win his first BCS/College Football Playoff championship at the school he was coaching.
