“Yeah, Ohio State looks really good, but how will they handle adversity?”
Chances are high that you heard something like this while the Buckeyes were cruising through their first nine games of the season. After coming back from a 14-point deficit last night against Wisconsin —and some shaky moments against Penn State and Michigan— it’s pretty clear that the 2019 edition of Ohio State is well equipped to handle any bumps in the road.
On this episode of the Hangout in the Holy Land, I recap the Buckeyes 34-21 win over Wisconsin, and breakdown my key takeaways from the game, including:
- Giving the Badgers their just due for having an excellent gameplan
- How the coaching staff adjusted on both sides of the ball and dominated the second half
- Justin Fields’ MVP performance, getting big plays from the wide receivers, and appreciating Binjimen Victor showing up in another big moment
Oh yeah, the Buckeyes are also in the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2016, so I talked about why being ranked second is fine, the importance of going through Clemson, and a small preview of what that matchup’s going to look like.
