Running the ball has always been a tenet of the Ohio State program. From Woody Hayes’ ‘three yards and a cloud of dust’ philosophy, Jim Tressel’s ball control offense, to the litany of stars Urban Meyer’s ground attack has produced since 2012, you’d be hard-pressed to find many seasons where running the ball didn’t define the offense. Dwayne Haskins is flipping that philosophy upside down this season.
