Since James Franklin arrived in Happy Valley in 2014, the Ohio State/Penn State series has been nothing short of crazy. The last two games have been two of the most insane fourth quarter comebacks in Ohio State history (and probably two of the most bitter losses in Penn State history). Discounting Ohio State’s 2015 blowout win, the total score in the other four games is 118-112 in favor of the Buckeyes. It doesn’t get much closer than that. Will we see a similar game on Saturday?
On this episode of the Hangout in the Holy Land, our friends at Black Shoe Diaries join the show to preview the game, and discuss all things Nittany Lions, including:
- Why this season’s been such a roller coaster in Happy Valley
- The James Franklin/USC rumors
- Why the underdog role is right in Penn State’s wheelhouse
- Needing to force Justin Fields to beat them with his arm, whether Sean Clifford can effectively attack the Ohio State defense, and more.
