Ohio State and Urban Meyer recruit the best football talent in the country into their program with every intention to send it to the NFL. There must be a plan for life after football, however, whether you turn pro or not.
That's why Meyer and the Buckeyes held their fourth annual job fair at the Huntington Club in Ohio Stadium on a sweltering Wednesday in Columbus. Athletes from the football, swimming, women's volleyball, women's basketball and other Buckeye athletic programs participated, but Meyer's group led the charge.
"We're taking it a step further, we're teaching you how to be able to provide, have a nice life, have something so when the football stops, the cheering stops, you can handle yourself," Meyer told his team moments before it mingled with close to 60 businesses and corporations.
