According to ESPN, incoming Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day is adding a new name to his staff. Current Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich is joining the staff in a currently unconfirmed position, but logic would seem to indicate that he would be slipping into the role vacated by Day when he was promoted to the head position.
Yurcich, a 43-year-old native of Euclid, Ohio has been running the offense in Stillwater, Okla. since 2013, a time which saw a continuation of the Cowboys’ impressive offensive output. A college quarterback first at Mount Union and then at California University of Pennsylvania, Lettermen Row’s Austin Ward is reporting that Day will structure the offensive hierarchy slightly differently than Urban Meyer did, with Yurcich overseeing the passing game, and Kevin Wilson staying on to coordinate the running attack.
