It’s hard to blame you if you wrote off the 2018-19 women’s Buckeye basketball team as a lost cause back in November and December. The extremely young group started the season 4-8, and looked like one of the worst teams in the Big Ten as they headed into 2019. However, after a Jan. 5 loss to Maryland, things seem to have clicked for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes are 9-4 since then, 13-12 on the season, and up to 9-7 in conference play with two games to go. They’re a top five team in the Big Ten, and while they’ll need to win the Big Ten to return to the NCAA tournament, they notched yet another massive win last night in East Lansing.
