Ohio State’s 74-man travel roster for the season opener at Indiana includes 10 true freshmen.
Nine of Ohio State’s 21 scholarship players in the class of 2023 made the trip to Bloomington: quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, wide receivers Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss and Noah Rogers, tight end Jelani Thurman, offensive tackle Luke Montgomery, defensive end/linebacker Arvell Reese, cornerback Jermaine Mathews and safety Malik Hartford. Walk-on punter Joe McGuire, who is also a true freshman, was one of two punters who made the trip.
McGuire is one of seven walk-ons on the travel roster along with quarterback Chad Ray, wide receiver David Adolph, tight end Patrick Gurd, safety Brenten “Inky” Jones, kicker Jayden Fielding (the starting kicker) and long snapper Max Lomonico.
