The 2015 version of the Silver Bullets have a lot in common with the 2002 squad, the most important of which is how they embrace the challenge to bring home a win when the offense is not performing well. And they did just that against Northern Illinois on Saturday.
In the 2002 season the defense often had to pick up the slack when the offense wasn’t playing at a high level and this year’s Ohio State defense has proven they can do so as well.
Against Northern Illinois the Buckeyes offense turned the ball over 5 times, converted 2 for 13 on third down attempts, and still the defense only gave up 13 points to the Huskies.
