Matthew Jones is getting the nod in a big-time game.
With Harry Miller unavailable, it looks like the former top-100 prospect out of New York is getting the start on the nation's biggest stage, filling in at left guard for Ohio State's College Football Playoff semifinal matchup with Clemson.
This will be Jones' second start of both the season and his career after he got the nod at left guard against Michigan State with three of Ohio State's starting offensive linemen unavailable. Jones played 69 snaps in that game, occasionally rotating with Enokk Vimahi (who will also miss Saturday's game against Clemson), and was named a champion for his performance.
