Ohio State's Kyle Snyder Advances to World Championship Finals, Youngest Wrestler to Do So

Is there anything Kyle Snyder can't do?

Months after finishing 2nd in the NCAA Wrestling Championships as a true freshman and weeks after winning gold at the Pan Am Games, the Buckeye grappler advanced to the finals of the 97kg weight class in freestyle at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas.

Snyder topped Abbas Mohammadtaher Tahan of Iran, 6-3, in the semifinals. In doing so, he became the youngest World medalist and finalist in U.S. history.

“Before the tournament started, I was expecting to win. That was my goal. That's still the plan,” Snyder told USA Wrestling.
