Ohio State’s Kelsey Mitchell taken No. 2 in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever

In Thursday’s WNBA Draft, the Indiana Fever used the night’s second overall selection to take one of the most decorated players in NCAA history, Ohio State’s Kelsey Mitchell. The 5’8 guard leaves Columbus with 29 OSU, Big Ten, and NCAA records, and sits as the second-highest scoring player in the history of women’s Division I basketball with a mind-blowing 3,402 points.

The three-time Big Ten Player of the Year, and the program’s only four-time All-American, contemplated entering the draft following her junior season, but now she will be asked to contribute to the team with the second-worst offense in the WNBA last year.
